The Lands Tribunal is an independent and specialist judicial body set up to resolve certain disputes concerning land. Claims to the Lands Tribunal can include claims in respect of disputed valuations of compulsorily purchased land or properties, land compensation claims for loss of value arising from public works or from noise nuisance from new roads, and applications for the discharge or modifying restrictive covenants on land. Appeals from both the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal and the Residential Property Tribunals are also heard by the Lands Tribunal.
