Meet the team

There are certain regulations with which charities must comply, if you are thinking of setting up or selling a charity, trust fund or provident society.

When you set up a charity, by law you must have a governing document. A governing document is the rule book which sets out how you intend to run your charity and demonstrates the direction and intention of your charity in a written format that people can follow. Potential funders may also be interested in your constitution because it will allow them to understand your aims and future direction, as well as enabling them to see that your charity is run properly.

We have seen that better outcomes are achieved when one of our experienced solicitors are brought in at an early stage, to ensure it is established in the right way from the beginning.
