A tenancy agreement is, quite simply, an agreement between a tenant and their landlord. There are several types of tenancy agreements however the two most common are the assured short hold tenancy and the assured tenancy.
Assured Short hold Tenancy
An assured short hold tenancy is a temporary arrangement and normally only constitutes a six month lease. If your landlord has given you valid reason to leave then at the end of your tenancy period agreement you have no right to stay.
An assured tenancy extends your rights to stay at the end of your tenancy, far more than the short hold tenancy. Due to its longer commitment it’s crucial that you receive professional legal aid to ensure that the terms set out in the agreement are fair and legal.
